About us

Our response to COVID-19

Advent Advocacy strives to be accessible to all throughout the pandemic. Whether you are in a hospital, residential, educational, or workplace setting we will be there for you.

We understand the unsettling and destabilising impact of COVID-19, therefore we continue to adapt and respond to government guidelines to ensure minimal disruption to our service delivery.

The safety of the people we advocate for and of our team is paramount to us. Our operational policies relating to COVID ensure that you can access our support no matter what. We have continued to provide advocacy services, whether face to face or remotely, throughout this pandemic. We may not always be able to visit in person, but we are still here.

It is important to us that we stay connected to the people we advocate for when we can’t be there in person. Our remote service operates alongside our standard face-to-face service and this ensures a smooth transition for all. Advent Advocacy’s remote support is offered through the following platforms:

  • Telephone
  • Email
  • Skype
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Zoom

With thanks to our robust risk assessment procedures, we are in a position where we can facilitate essential face-to-face visits. Please contact your existing advocate for further details.

For new enquiries please call us on 01325 776 554 and we’ll be happy to see how we can help you.

Testimonials

I’d be lying if I said that anyone with a chronic mental health condition can be totally ‘cured’. But through hard work, determination, and hope, you can create your own toolbox, which will help you manage and enjoy life’s pleasures. I’ve come a long way since my first bout of mental ill health. The small steps that I’ve taken means that I am now at a place where the good days definitely outweigh the bad. I still have bad days, but now I know what to do and how to get myself out of them. It takes time to build your toolbox of self-management, but when you experience moments of pure happiness it makes you proud that you fought the battle.
